An administrative building from the 1970s is to have new representative functions and a new appearance to fulfill its designation. The additional loading in case of an added superstructure will require the structure of the existing building to be re-worked. This project strives to solve this complex problem. The solution! A bridge structure standing on pylons on both sides of the administrative block. The new structure is in complete contrast to the standards of the socialist 1970s. An amorphous space houses the new functions. The shape is designed to withstand the large amounts of snow and strong winds which blow in the foothills of the Rila Mountains in the winter. The solution strives to achieve a striking vision, making a lasting impression against the background of the mountain silhouette.
