Geometric perspective

The residents of this Sofia apartment – a family with children – have known the work of L6 studio for a long time and trust them completely . Their wish is to be surprised with an unexpected design. The architectural office creates something impressive, but not in the sense of noisy external spectacularity. The idea comes from the very architecture of the house – it is elongated, with small transversely situated rooms. The authors unite the premises and form a space that seems to be aimed at a constantly receding point. In this way, a sense of perspective, of overflow and wholeness is created. A well-thought-out concept that requires a holistic perspective and extremely precise implementation. The abstract idea of L6 studio, however, has a very practical application to the interior – the geometric line that runs across the entire dwelling marks its walking lines, functional volumes and zones. It is outlined with the flooring, with the cabinet furniture, with the lighting, while the technical elements and details remain hidden. All materials ‘flow’ across the apartment in a rhythmic sequence. The perfect geometry is the uniting factor of the design, without any accents or showy colors being sought after. The interior impacts with its distinct linearity, with a sense of consistency, harmony and unity. (text: Our Home)
